The triglyceride mixture has also been used in a study to compare the retention time of triacylglycerols; an understudy to analyze acylglycerols of substrates and interesterification products using the GC method.


The 100 mg ampoule contains approx. equal amounts by weight of:

  • Tributyrin (C4: 0)

Frozen storage can cause the triglyceride standard to separate from the aqueous phase. To re-dissolve, keep the cap tightly closed, place in a hot water bath (~ 80-100 ° C) for 1 minute or until the standard looks cloudy, vortex for 30 seconds, the standard should turn clear. Repeat the heat and shake one more time. The triglyceride standard is now completely in solution and ready to use.
